Liftig
joins The Boys and Girls Clubs of Lee County as chief professional officer of the organization. Ms. Currier Liftig is a graduate of The University of Georgia Grady School of Journalism and of The University of Arkansas Law School. She is the product of Lee County public schools, having attended Orangewood Elementary and Cypress Lake Middle and High Schools. Prior to her selection for her current post, she was with the Florida Chamber of Commerce as a regional manager and advocate for Lee, Collier, Hendry, Glades and Charlotte Counties.
Fleming
joins Community Cooperative Ministries Inc. to oversee strategic leadership development and social services for the agency. Dr. Fleming writes a popular leadership blog and is the author of a monthly e-newsletter, “leading thoughts,” as well as the host of a monthly tele-seminar. Dr. Fleming holds a master’s degree in counseling/ education, a doctorate of management in organizational leadership and is currently pursuing a doctorate in human and organizational development from Fielding University.
. The Kiwanis Club of Fort Myers held its election for 2010-2011 officers, and also celebrated the club’s 88 years of service to the community. The individuals who took office include: Nathan Fred

co-treasurer, and Bill Courtwright
co-treasurer. The club is known for the Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Regional Science and Engineering Fair, World Atlas project at Edgewood Elementary and Kiwanis Park located in the downtown Fort Myers River District.
