Name That Companyy

I trace my roots back to 1937, when a man from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, bought a doughnut recipe from a New Orleans French chef and started selling doughnuts to local markets and to passersby drawn by their aroma. I trademarked my bowtie logo in 1955 and opened my first retail store in 1989. In 1992, I introduced my “hot now” light, which, when lit, meant that there were hot doughnuts available. Today, my offerings can be bought in about 12,000 supermarkets, convenience stores and other stores, as well as in my own 1,400 retail locations in 33 countries. Who am I?

Think you know the answer? We’ll announce it in next week’s edition.
