Hearing loss is one of the biggest problems facing our aging population. Since 1948 Miracle-Ear has been providing top hearing solutions and services. Founded as Dahlberg Electronics by WWII hero Ken Dahlberg, we are the largest network of hearing providers in America with nearly 1,600 locations. The current owner and chief of staff, Jim Cash started here in February 1996. “I came down from my hometown of Orlando, FL to open an office in a little town called Cape Coral. That was 26 years ago and this area has grown by leaps and bounds. I love Southwest Florida and am proud it is my home.”
With more than 13 local offices, Miracle-Ear has a convenient location for anyone who is having issues.
What Makes Your Company Different?
“The difference is always in the staff and the way we go the extra mile for our patients. We realize that having the best products is not enough. We want everyone to feel how much we care. I want to change lives for people. The majority of people we see have no idea how much they have missed until they get it back. When you see the smiles and joy on your patients faces when they tell you how we have changed their life, that’s what it’s all about.”
What Has Been The Key To Your Success?
“I always say the people we have providing the everyday service to our thousands of patients. Companies are only as good as their employees. I have been tremendously blessed with really good people who care. Our staff and specialists are able to receive constant training as products and technologies change. The next difference is the company itself. Miracle-Ear has a tremendous network so that our patients can seamlessly go anywhere and still get the same quality care as they do here. We offer true nationwide services that are for the life of the products making it easier to keep our patients happy. Lastly, I would not be here today without working with a great franchisor, Miracle-Ear, that keeps us ahead of the competition with the highest quality products anywhere.”
What Do People Not Know About Hearing Loss?
“The biggest thing that the average person does not understand is the mental and physical issues associated with having hearing loss. The ears are the most connected sense we have to the brain. When that sense has a problem, it directly starts to affect the brain. There are studies from John Hopkins University, Cambridge, University of Colorado and others that document and correlate things such as Alzheimer’s and dementia to untreated hearing loss. The best thing is always to be ahead of the game and get a full comprehensive hearing evaluation on a regular basis. This is so important that we offer this at no charge to the public.” ¦
