Grammy award-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin will perform with the Pacifica Quartet on Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. for BIG ARTS in Schein Hall on Sanibel Island.
The all-Italian program will include works by Vivaldi, Castelnuovo- Tedesco and Boccherini.
Ms. Isbin has been a soloist with nearly 200 orchestras and given soldout performances in the world’s top halls, a news release said. Recent highlights include a concerto written for her by Chris Brubeck, a commission for her by Carnegie Hall for its 125th anniversary, a 21-city Guitar Passions tour with jazz greats Stanley Jordan and Romero Lubambo, and performances with the Detroit, Montreal and National symphonies.
