¦ Through March 25: “Grand Ruminations” in the Grand Atrium – This exhibit ties together the works of Alvaro Labanino and Miguel Saludes, two artists brought together by bonds of friendship and camaraderie that take them back to their adolescence, when they first met. Their link is further bolstered by a common passion for the medium of painting as well as an appreciation for its rich history. And perhaps, at its core, them artists are joined by their mutual understanding of how daily introspection ultimately affects and defines their life and work.

¦ Through March 25: “Effervescence” in the Capital Gallery – Born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, Winnie Purple studied art at Artes Plasticas University of Guadalajara, music with maestro Eduardo Garciapena, and dance at Escuela de Danzas Polinesias. In Southwest Florida since 2001, she sells her original jewelry, clothing and paintings through Winnie Purple Designs. Mixed-media techniques play an important role in her art and have greatly influenced her expression, with a whimsical, surreal world as the signature of her art.

¦ March 17: St. Patrick’s Day Rooftop Party – Get lucky at Sidney’s Rooftop Sculpture Garden and enjoy DJ Selecta spinning tunes in the open-air high above First Street and with a 360-degree view of the city and sunset over the Caloosahatchee

River. Free from 8 p.m. to midnight.

¦ March 18-19: 10th annual Art Walks the Runway – Southwest Florida’s fashion extravaganza features local, national, and international designers (locals on Friday evening, $30 admission; couture fashion on Saturday evening, $45). Sponsored by BMW of Fort Myers.

¦ March 18: Friday Night Music on the Rooftop – The rooftop opens at 6 p.m. and DJ Selecta spins tunes from 8 p.m. to midnight. Free.

¦ March 22 and 29, April 5, 12, 19 and 26: Indra yoga with Morgan Alvarez in the Grand Atrium – This class starts off in vinyasa flow and ends with a slower paced yin-like style. It’s energetic, fun, balanced, thoughtfully sequenced, and incorporates variations of asana throughout. Drop in at 6:30 p.m. for $16. Be sure to check the website for possible schedule changes.

¦ March 24: Art & Poetry in the Grand Atrium – This networking event hosted by Gulf Coast Leisure connects mixed media artists, musicians and those whose art is the spoken word. Everyone who supports the arts community is welcome to come and meet like-minded others. Doors and the lobby bar open at 7:30 p.m. and showtime is 8 p.m. General admission, $10.

¦ March 25: The Blues Brothers Soul Band – SBDAC’s Vinyl Vibes Series welcomes one of the hottest tribute bands this side of the Mississippi. Grab your sunglasses and recreate the magic and memories of earlier days, but catch them before the law does! Doors and the lobby bar open at 6:30 p.m. and showtime is 7:30 p.m. General admission, $50 in advance, $55 day of performance.

¦ March 25: Friday Night Music on the Rooftop with Little Eddie and the Fat Fingers – Sidney’s Rooftop Sculpture Garden is open with free admission from 6 p.m. to midnight, and the music is from 8-11 p.m.

¦ March 26: Sierra Hull in the Grand Atrium – SBDAC’s Bluegrass Series presents the finesse of singer/ songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sierra Hull. In her first 25 years alone, the talented artist hit more milestones than many musicians accomplish in a lifetime, including gracing the stages of the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall. At 28 years old, she’s set to deliver her fourth album. Doors and the lobby bar open at 6:30 p.m. and showtime is 7:30 p.m. $45 in advance, $50 at the door.

¦ March 31: Charcuterie Class & Wine Tasting at Sidney’s Rooftop Sculpture Garden – Rachel Braun, owner of The Grazed Board, and wine purveyor Bonita Wilson join forces to help guests design and assemble a charcuterie board while enjoying wine and light live music. Wines will be available for purchase to take home as well. The rooftop is open from 6-9 p.m. and class is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. $45 admission.

¦ April 1-29: Fort Myers High School International Baccalaureate Visual Arts Exhibition in the Grand Atrium – Opening night reception from 6-10 p.m. April 1 as part of downtown’s monthly Art Walk festivities.

¦ April 1-29: “Xperience” in the Capital Gallery – Through his mixed media and conceptual art, Xavier Brignoni takes us on a journey through five decades of his life while addressing our collective longing for answers, explanations, and reasons. Opening night reception from 6-10 p.m. April 1 as part of downtown’s monthly Art Walk festivities.

¦ April 1: Friday Night Music on the Rooftop with Havy Rodriguez – Enjoy the band’s mixture of all Latin styles. Free. The rooftop is open with free admission from 6 p.m. to midnight, and the music is from 8-11 p.m.

¦ April 6: Latin Dance on the Rooftop with Angela – Singer/dancer Angela Hicks leads the crowd with pointers in popular dance styles such as the rumba and salsa. Free. Doors open at 6 p.m. and class is from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by dancing to DJ tunes ’til 11 p.m.

¦ April 8: Friday Night Music on the Rooftop with a Retro Rooftop Party – Come boogie to a DJ spinning all your retro favorites (costumes encouraged!). $10 cover. The rooftop is open from 6 p.m. to midnight, and the music is from 8-11 p.m.

¦ April 11: Famous Author Lecture & Luncheon – FineMark Bank presents Jane Lorenzini, who spent 13 years as a television news anchor and reporter, nearly seven of those here in Fort Myers at WINK-TV. She went on to co-write two New York Times bestselling books with her friend and Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb, who was her colleague at WINK during the 1990s. “After the Rain,” Ms. Lorenzini’s debut novel, is set in 1888 Fort Myers next door to Thomas Edison’s winter estate and laboratory. Noon to 2 p.m. $45 general admission, table for eight, $360.

¦ April 13: Own the Platform at Sidney’s Rooftop & Sculpture Garden – Enjoy an eclectic neo-soul experience in this performance by dancers, poets and vocalists. Drink specials and live entertainment from 8-11 p.m. with a view of downtown and the Caloosahatchee River. $10 general admission, $60 VIP reserved seating. ¦
