This year’s “hottest gifts” lists may not include home repairs, but to some people in Lee County, home repair is the greatest gift they could receive. Members purchase Club at Mediterra
The Club at Mediterra is now officially owned by and under the control of its members. Bonita Bay Group and the Mediterra Members’ Advisory Board have completed the sale of the club assets to the members of the club for $6.8 million in cash and the assumption by the new club entity of approximately $15 million in Community Development District debt. Building permit activity still slow
During November, Lee County Community Development issued permits for 19 single-family homes valued at $7.5 million to be built in unincorporated Lee County. In comparison, there were 23 permits for single-family homes issued in October and 14 issued in November 2008. Full Story
Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Workshop offered by Lee County Bar Association
The Lee County Bar Association will sponsor another free Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Workshop at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Florida Rural Legal Services, 3210 Cleveland, Fort Myers. Attorneys will provide assistance to help homeowners remain in their homes and reduce foreclosures. Full Story
