Mary K. Butcher and Omar Sassin COURTESY PHOTO Mary K. Butcher and Omar Sassin COURTESY PHOTO Touch Spa & Salon of Fort Myers placed second in the national Redken 5th Avenue NYC Night of Color competition.

The event, which was held in September, featured a Redken hair show and color consultations, before and after makeovers, fashions by Caché and photography by Lasting Impressions Photography. Winners were selected based on creative interpretation of the makeovers.

“We have some of the most gifted stylists and colorists in Fort Myers,” said spa director Mary K. Butcher. “Our energy, excitement and advanced training are the reasons we won this competition which recognized the strength, talent, skills and dedication of our team. We even beat a team from Hollywood.”

The second-place winner received $1,000 of salon gear and $1,000 for classes at the Redken Exchange, the industry’s leading resource for learning in New York City.

Located at the Bell Tower Shops, between Eyetopian Optical and T.G.I. Friday’s, Touch Spa & Salon offers the latest techniques and most current trends in hair cutting, coloring, straightening and extensions as well as manicures, pedicures and facials.
