Estero, LawLogix partner to provide compliance solutions for employers

Estero-based Employer Compliance Solutions has entered into a strategic partnership with LawLogix, the industry leader in electronic I-9 and E-Verify compliance-management technology.

With this partnership, Employer Compliance Solutions will be able to offer organizations access to LawLogix’s customized I-9 solution, Guardian, which streamlines an organization’s entire I-9 process while facilitating compliance with state and federal E-Verify guidelines.

Earlier this year, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a component of the Department of Homeland Security, announced its new strategy to hold employers responsible for ensuring their workers are legally permitted to work in the United States.

On Sept. 8, a new rule was implemented, requiring federal contractors and subcontractors to use E-Verify, the online federal work authorization verification system, to confirm that both new hires and current employees working on federal contracts are eligible to legally work in the United States.

“Even if their work force is found to be employment eligible, improperly completed I-9 forms can cost thousands of dollars in fines and penalties,” said Dan Rowe, CEO of Employer Compliance Solutions.
