A musical tribute in honor of our veterans to mark the 65th anniversary of the battle of Iwo Jima. The program features Chris Brubeck’s “Quiet Heroes,” a narrated symphonic suite based on the book “Flag of Our Fathers.” Narration by PBS veteran and voice of NOVA Peter Thomas. The program also includes music from “Victory at Sea,” a “Salute to the Armed Forces” and other surprises.

A Detroit native, Mr. Viviano began his career opening for comedy greats of the last generation. After completing degrees (Eastern Illinois University), he taught high school, while earning Union cards as an actor in Chicago. Moving East, he made his Broadway debut in “The Three Musketeers” (1984); followed-by starring roles in the Broadway hits “Romance/Romance,” “City Of Angels,” “Falsettos,” “The Life” and “The Full Monty.”
