To adopt or foster a pet
There are many animals available at the Lee County Domestic Animal Services shelter at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers. Call 533-7387 (LEE-PETS) or visit www. leelostpets.com. The shelter is open 11:30a.m. to 4p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 11:30a.m. to 6p.m. Tuesday and 11:30a.m. to 3p.m. Saturday. Please use the animal’s ID number when inquiring. Adoptions include sterilization, age-appropriate vaccinations and county license, flea treatment, a 10-day health guarantee and more. Anyone interested in fostering animals that have been abused or need some care and comfort to make them more adoptable, should contact the shelter or go online to download a foster application. >>Ray (#458880) and Westie (#458876) are two frightened kittens who were found under a car in the Animal Services parking lot. Two employees crawled under the car to rescue them. Ray (black and white) and Westie (gray and white) are 2-month-old boys who now eat well and love to play. They are ready for a real home.
