GROSSMAN
Keith Grossman,
P.A. announced the launch of Grossman Conflict Management LLC., which specializes in business solutions that transform the way conflict is managed within businesses and organiza- tions. GCM works to resolve internal conflict and employee disputes and grievances in the workplace so employers may avoid expensive litigation and court costs. Mr. Grossman is a family and marriage attorney, trainer, consultant, and family mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court. In addition to working as a mediator, he assisted in the creation and supervision of Lee County Court Administration’s Family Law Case Management Program, which is a conflict resolution program.
J. Jeffrey Rice,
managing attorney for the law firm of Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz, has been appointed to the grievance committee for United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division. The committee is called upon to review and assess charges when a grievance is filed against an attorney to determine if an ethical violation has occurred.
RICE
Alicia Guerra
has been appointed as deputy general counsel by the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program. She is now serving as regional attorney for the program covering seven Florida court circuits, including Circuit 20. Before becoming regional attorney, Ms. Guerra was the supervising attorney for the Guardian ad Litem Program’s 20th Circuit. Ms. Guerra has advocated for abused children through the program since 2004.
John Sommer
is now the supervising attorney for the Circuit 20 Guardian ad Litem Program, replacing Ms. Guerra. Mr. Sommer, a Florida attorney, volunteered as a pro bono attorney in the Guardian ad Litem Program prior to interviewing and being offered this position. He has expertise in child welfare law, master trusts and educational law. His wife, Jan, is a Guardian ad Litem volunteer child advocate within the Program.
