Meet HGTV star Jason Champion at the IDC

Jason Champion made it to the top five in the most recent season of HGTV's "Design Star" competition. Now he is making his way to the International Design Center on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. to do a seminar on design and color trends, plus share some of his backstage secrets. If you have ever wondered what really goes on behind the scenes during the taping of a reality show, Mr. Champion will totally entertain you with his anecdotes, plus give you some great design tips for making your home stylish within your budget. Mr. Champion, a resident of Sarasota, was one of 11 design professionals from around the country who made the cut to compete on the most recent edition of HGTV's "Design Star." The outgoing 33-year-old is a full-service designer, stylist, television personality and writer with 15 years of experience in the design field. He describes his design style as "livable, organized, fun and fabulous."
In addition to having his own design firm, he is has also developed a line of furniture with an eponymous name, Jason Champion OUTDOOR.
Mr. Champion has accrued several awards and accolades for his expertise. He has also been recognized in prestigious publications that include The New York Times, Washington Post, Elle Décor and House Beautiful. Reservations for his seminar are recommended. Call 390-8207.
