Norman Korpi to display at HOWL Gallery

KORPI KORPI HOWL Gallery presents "The Art of Norman Korpi" at an opening reception Oct. 2, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Mr. Korpi is a well known fine artist and is most often recognized for his groundbreaking involvement

in the first season of MTV's "Real World" television show. His paintings have been collected consistently over the years and his work can be seen on public display from Fortune 500 companies to public institutions and private collections across the country. Bleecker 56, Whitehall Gallery, Barbara Bratthen Gallery, Rempire and the Paul Bridgewater Gallery in New York's Soho district have represented Mr. Korpi over the years.

Along with his fine art work, Mr. Korpi also produces independent films and freelances as a production artist for television and film studios, including The Oscars and Radio City Music Hall. In 2003, his independent film "The Wedding Video," which starred himself and featured many fellow cast members from "Real World," was picked up for distribution by Warner Bros. and TLA video. He has also been featured on the cover of many magazines, including OUT, and is a founding member of GET, Gay Entertainment Television.
