Komen affiliate awards grant money to fight breast cancer
The Southwest Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure announces the availability of grant funds for the 2010-2011 grant year. Since its inception in 2002, the Komen Southwest Florida Affiliate has given more than $3 million to the local community to help fund local breast education and breast health programs. Full Story

New single-incision procedure a first for HealthPark facility
Procedure potentially leaves no visible scar
Lee Memorial Health System announces the successful completion of its first colon surgery using the next generation SILS procedure. The right hemi-colectomy, or right color removal, was performed for the treatment of a benign colon tumor. This procedure, performed at HealthPark Medical Center, was the first of its kind to be completed in Fort Myers. Full Story
