Workshop for nonprofits set

Would your nonprofit like to implement a planned giving program for your donors? Do you find it difficult to understand the ins and outs of planned gifts? If you answered "yes" to these questions, the Planned Giving Council of Lee County has the solution.

On Thursday, Oct. 22, the council will present "The ABCs of Planned Giving" at Hodges University's Fort Myers campus from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Participants will learn how to create an effective planned giving program for their organizations using a variety of planned gifts as well as how to develop the necessary gift policies. This workshop is geared toward those who are new to planned giving, need a refresher course, or function as development generalists within their organizations.

Immediately following the workshop, the Planned Giving Council will host its monthly membership meeting.

Registration for "The ABCs of Planned Giving" workshop is $35 for Planned Giving Council members and $40 for non-members, and includes a continental breakfast and goodie bag. An early-bird discount is available for registrations made before Oct. 9. Registration for both the workshop and the luncheon can be made through the Planned Giving Council's Web site, www.pgclee.org.

Since 1994, the Planned Giving Council of Lee County Inc. has provided educational programs, technical support and guidance to professionals involved in all aspects of charitable planned giving. Members meet on a regular basis to learn the latest methods for helping clients achieve their planned giving objectives.
