Fabrics depict American heroes, political campaigns

Many different drapery fabrics and bed coverings were decorated with pictures of the famous men of the day. Some were made for political campaigns. A printed fabric of the "Apothesis of Franklin" that pictured both George Washington and Benjamin Franklin was made in 1785. Another showed William H. 'Spear Fest' on tap to raise funds for local food bank
Fish-Tale Marina on Fort Myers Beach is hosting "Spear Fest 2009," a spearfishing tournament and photo contest that will benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
