ULAKOVIC The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association has named Carla Ulakovic its 2009 Rising Star, Laura Puerto the 2009 Chapter Member of the Year, and Tina Haisman, APR, the 2009 PR Professional of the Year. Ms. Ulakovic was recognized for her energetic and enthusiastic involvement in many chapter projects, specifically, the Social Media Café program she developed to educate the membership. Ms. Puerto helped raise the Chapter's level of professionalism in our community through the coordination of Pro-Bono Day. Ms. Haisman was named PR Professional of the Year for her efforts in coordinating the annual PR University program for the chapter, along with the achievement of earning the Certified Public Relations Counselor designation.

Connie Ramos- Williams is the new 2009/2010 PR chair for the Junior League of Fort Myers. Ms. Ramos-Williams and her committee will be responsible for branding and promotions of the Junior League's community events, membership recruitment, socials and charitable activities throughout the one-year term. Her duties include event promotion and coverage, photography, writing press releases and media relations. This is her third year with the Junior League. Ms. Ramos-Williams is the president of CONRIC PR & Marketing, a local multimedia branding and promotions company.
