Dog Days - Celebrate the dog days of summer from 6-8 p.m. at the Bell Tower Shops. The Yappy Hour and stroll, with live music, takes place in the center court the second Friday of each month. All dogs must be leashed. Proceeds benefit the Gulf Coast Humane Society. www.thebelltowershops. com.

Quilter's Guild - The Peace River Quilter's Guild meets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday at Church of Good Shepherd, 401 W. Henry St., Punta Gorda.
