TARR Dr. Louis J. Traina, vice president of university advancement at Hodges University, was recognized by the City of Santiago, Dominican Republic. Dr. Traina was the featured speaker at "Meet the Future Leaders of the Dominican Republic," a special presentation held on July 3 in Santiago. The program, hosted by La Fundacion Internacional Dominicana, was held in honor of high school students who will visit Southwest Florida on a youth leadership and service mission program in October.

Southwest Florida College announced the following:

Alissa Tarr has been named director of admissions at Southwest Florida College. She began her career at Southwest Florida College in 2007 as an associate registrar.

Leah Mason has been appointed program specialist, freshman studies at the Southwest Florida College Port Charlotte campus. Ms. Mason began her career at Southwest Florida College in the admissions department last year.

Dianne Bommarito recently joined Southwest Florida College as its bursar. She is an experienced administrator with strong skills in finance, planning and budgets, as well as project and process management developed throughout her career at several organizations, including J.C. Penney, AC Delco Marketing and General Motors.
