LMHS takes over center operations
Lee Memorial Health System has chosen to fully manage and operate its outpatient Radiology Diagnostics Centers in an effort to streamline patient care services and make better use of the health system's resources. Sheriff's Fraud Line has increase in calls
The Fraud Line at the Lee County Sheriff's Office has experienced a 208 percent increase in calls in the second quarter of 2009 as compared to that same period in 2008. Sheriff's officials attribute the rise to the economy as well growing awareness about the Fraud Line. Full Story

Lee Tran announces July 4 schedule changes
Lee County Transit will not operate its 18 bus routes on Saturday, July 4. Instead, it will operate two trolley routes on that day, serving Fort Myers Beach. Trolley service from Summerlin Square on the mainland to Bowditch Park at the north end of the island will run every 40 minutes starting at 7 a.m. Full Story
Safety program provided for Alzheimer's patients
The Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center is offering a Safety Program for Alzheimer's caregivers in Lee County. Created to provide caregivers with tools to implement an emergency plan to prevent crises, each Safety Program packet includes two components: an emergency plan kit and an identification bracelet for the memory-impaired person.
