'Back To School' request helps stock center's shelves

The School Resource Center, a major initiative of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, is seeking supplies to replenish its shelves.

Now, more than ever, teachers need items for their classrooms.

Items such as paper, notebooks, pencils, glue, binders and file folders are in high demand. Teachers can use many products, such as fabric, wallpaper books and other similar items, for craft projects. The Resource Center can also use items like sandwich bags, tissues and Band-Aids.

As businesses sort through their offices and warehouses, discarding items such as stationery, gently used furniture and excess office supplies, The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools asks that they donate these items to the Teacher Resource Center to help Lee County's public school teachers.

Musical instruments, sports equipment, art supplies, school supplies and office furniture, as well as computers less than three years old, are also welcome. All donors will receive tax-deduction documentation. To make a donation, call The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Inc. at 337-0433.
