'Shred Day' on tap at Fla. Community Bank

Florida Community Bank and Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida Inc. will host a free shredding event Thursday, June 25, at FCB's North Cape Coral Branch on Del Prado Boulevard from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Goodwill's Secure Document Destruction service will be on hand to accept personal papers and other sensitive documents that will be shredded for free. Customers will be limited to one bag or box for free shredding (additional documents will be accepted for $5 per bag or box). Sensitive documents will be collected in locked bins for transportation back to Goodwill's secure shredding facility in North Fort Myers. Patrons will be provided with a certificate of destruction once their materials are shredded.

This will be Goodwill's eighth community "Shred Day" in Southwest Florida, and fifth time partnering with Florida Community Bank. In all, Goodwill has collected more than 16,000 pounds of confidential documents for destruction at its free shredding events.
