Grace Community Center opens new facility to public
The Grace Community Center has opened a state-of-the art Event Center available for event rentals. The facility, located at the corner of Hancock Bridge Parkway and Orange Grove Boulevard in North Fort Myers, is accepting reservations for upcoming events.
The GCC Event Center is one of the largest rental facilities in Lee County, boasting more than 12,000 square feet of versatile space for an alcohol-free banquet, meeting or other function. It features a superior, stateof the-art sound system and three large wall-mounted video screens and projection systems. All revenues from event rentals benefit the Grace Community Center, a nonprofit organization providing assistance to needy individuals in the North Fort Myers/Cape Coral area.
Since opening earlier this year, the GCC Event Center already has become a hub for the community. To date, GCC Community Outreach programs have provided 15,000 pounds of food and 2,400 articles of clothing to needy families. The center also has provided dozens of free health screenings.
Programs currently offered at the Event Center include Sunday morning worship, free GED classes, parenting classes, a sports program, food bank, thrift store, youth
programs and community
wide middle school dances. Upcoming programs include homework assistance and free health screenings, with the goal of one day offering a free medical clinic.
Grace Community Center is located at 4151 Hancock Bridge Parkway in North Fort Myers. For more information, call 574-7161 or visit www.egracecenter.org.
