'The Hangover'
Is it worth $10? Yes
It's a feeling that doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while a movie strikes you as an instant classic. "The Hangover" is such a movie. And I don't mean classic in the "Citizen Kane" sense. I mean it in the guy humor, absolutely hilarious, wife-would-kill-you-if-sheknew sense. Full Story

'Shirley Valentine' held over
By popular demand, Florida Repertory Theatre has extended its current production, "Shirley Valentine." The limited run was originally slated to close on June 7, but based on both audience reaction and critical response, Florida Rep will hold "Shirley" over for three command performances at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. See it, hear it: TheatreZone brings 'The Who's Tommy' back to Naples
Sometimes the best art comes out of the strangest ideas. Take "Tommy," for example. The Who's 1969 rock opera tells the story of a boy who's traumatized when he sees his mother having sex with another man. Tommy becomes catatonic: deaf, blind and mute. He's further traumatized when sexually abused by Uncle Ernie. Full Story

HOWL Gallery hosts artist Chad Beatty for a signing of "The Year's Best Science Fiction: Twenty- Sixth Annual Collection." A painting by Mr. Beatty, titled "Mediation," is featured as the book's cover image. "The Year's Best Sci-Fi" is an anthology of science fiction by some of the best sci-fi writers today.
