'Sole Food' drive means food for Harry Chapin

Brighton Collectibles in the Coconut Point mall is participating in a nationwide promotion that will provide food for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. The promotion runs through June 28. Those donating cans of food will receive discounts on Brighton shoes.

Brighton's promotion allows people to contribute a lot or a little and be rewarded for their generosity. Customers who donate five cans of food receive 20 percent off a pair of Brighton shoes. With a 10-can donation, they receive 30 percent off a pair of Brighton shows. With a 20-can food donation, they receive 40 percent off a pair of shoes. And with 40 cans of food they receive 40 percent off the price of multiple pairs.

All food donations will go to the Harry Chapin Food Bank, which is struggling to meet the increasing demand from those who are affected by economic challenges. Each person who brings cans of food to Brighton Collectibles at Coconut Point will be taking a step toward ending hunger in the Southwest Florida community.

Brighton Collectibles accessorizes women from head to toe with handbags, jewelry, belts, footwear, small leather essentials, eyewear, luggage, fragrances and gifts. The Coconut Point store is one of 142 companyowned stores throughout the U.S.

The Harry Chapin Food Bank solicits, collects and stores quality food for distribution to needy people through a network of nearly 150 local nonprofit agencies in Southwest, serving more than 20,000 people monthly.
