Center for Laser Vision Correction receives 2009 Best of Fort Myers Award
For the second consecutive year, The Center for Laser Vision Correction has been selected for the 2009 Best of Fort Myers Award in the Physicians & Surgeons category by the U.S. Local Business Association.
The USLBA Best of Local Business Award program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies it believes have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Nationwide, only one in 70 (1.4 percent) 2008 award recipients qualified as 2009 award winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.
Dr. Jonathan Frantz, medical director of Florida Eye Health, has been providing laser vision correction at the main offices of Florida Eye Health in Fort Myers since 1996 and offered the first on-site laser at his office in Naples in 1999.
In May 2008, Dr. Frantz took Laser Vision Correction to the next level by introducing iLASIK, a 100 percent bladefree LASIK technology that utilizes the Intralase laser to create the corneal flap, the critical first step in the LASIK procedure. The second step is reshaping the cornea with the excimer laser.
"iLASIK has brought LASIK surgery to a higher level of safety and precision for our patients," said Dr. Frantz.
