Coldwell Banker's parent company ranked No. 1
Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate's parent company, NRT LLC, was again ranked the No. 1 residential real estate brokerage firm in the United States in RISMedia's 21st annual Power Broker Report.
With 95 offices and nearly 5,000 sales professionals serving Central Florida, Palm Beach, Southeast Florida, Southwest Florida and Tampa Bay, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate accounted for $8.68 billion in closed sales volume and 29,104 closed transaction sides in 2008. If ranked separately, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate would have been the fifth largest residential brokerage company on the Power Broker list last year based on number of transaction sides completed. A transaction side is either the buyer side or the seller side in a real estate transaction. Brokerage companies receive commissions from representation of either one or both sides of a transaction.

The company closed 2008 with positive numbers as market share increased to 10 percent statewide and closed units increased by 5.5 percent over 2007.
