SPIVEY SPIVEY Attorney Tricia A. Spivey of the law firm of Henderson Franklin was elected vice-chairperson of the board of directors of the Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida. This organization promotes the collaborative process, a method where both parties and their attorneys agree in writing to focus all of their efforts toward resolving the divorce or other legal matter by agreement, without resorting to court. Ms. Spivey is a board-certified marital and family lawyer and a certified family law mediator.

Attorney J. Patrick Buckley III has been admitted as a member of the Bar of the Court and an officer of the court for the Supreme Court of the United States. As a member of the bar, Mr. Buckley is now eligible to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. Permission is granted only if the attorney has been admitted to a state bar for at least three years, and two attorneys already admitted to the Supreme Court bar have sponsored the application. Mr. Buckley offers services related to business law including corporate formation and commercial litigation, real estate law, bankruptcy, and those areas that complement them.

BUCKLEY BUCKLEY Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., announced the addition of three summer associates. Law students Adam Vesey, Amy Paulke and Kyle Knopsnyder will supplement their law school experience by working as clerks at the firm during the summer months. As part of Henderson Franklin's Summer Associate Program, these students will have an opportunity to be exposed to a broad range of practice areas. Summer associates attend hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations and meetings with clients.

Marriage and Family Law Attorney Keith Grossman of Burandt, Adamski & Grossman LLP, has been elected secretary of the Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida's board of directors. The organization promotes the collaborative process, a method where both parties and their attorneys agree in writing to focus all of their efforts toward resolving the divorce or other legal matter by agreement, without resorting to court. Mr. Grossman, a boardcertified marital and family lawyer and certified family law mediator, also serves as the president of the Lee County Bar Association.

GROSSMAN GROSSMAN Luis E. Insignares of the law office of Luis E. Insignares, P.A. in Fort Myers spoke at the Basic Family Law 2009 seminar on May 7 and 8 in Tampa and Miami. His topic was "Alimony, How to Get it? Modify it? Defend Against it?" Mr. Insignares's practice includes all aspects of complex marital and family law, including related appeals at both the trial and appellate levels. He is a member of the executive council of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.
