Summer drama workshops on tap in Charlotte County
The Charlotte Players are offering two summer drama workshops at the Center for Performing Arts in Punta Gorda. Both workshops start Monday, June 15, and run through Friday, June 26. Students entering second through sixth grades will be working on "Robin Hood — The Musical" each day from 9 a.m. until noon. Older students entering seventh through 12th grades will meet from 1 to 4 p.m., rehearsing "School House Rock."
Participants will have hands-on experiences in all facets of a theatrical production; backstage, scenic design, props, costumes, music, sound as well as performing on stage. Each workshop will culminate with three showcase productions June 27 and 28. Workshop coordinators include Music and Chorale Director Jaci Cushman, Student Coordinator Marie LaBrosse and Executive Director Sherrie Moody.
