'Where the Girls Are' features talented cast

"Where the Girls Are" has been bringing down the house at The Herb Strauss Schoolhouse Theater on Sanibel Island.

Join local favorites Samantha Rotella, Tammy Truitt, Olivia Miller, and newcomer Kailie Torres as they travel through the decades, bringing classic female songs to life.

Ms. Rotella was last seen delivering the comedy in the hit "Murder at the Howard Johnson's." Earlier this season she appeared in "Little Shop of Horrors," "Classic Broadway Abridged" and "The Holly Jolly Follies."

Ms. Truitt has also been a familiar face this season, having performed in "Play On," "Out of Order" and "Little Shop of Horrors."

Child prodigy Olivia Miller has quickly sung her way into the hearts of audiences throughout the season. She was featured in "The Holly Jolly Follies" and "Classic Broadway Abridged."

Ms. Torres rounds out the group of talented females. While new to the island, she is no stranger to performing and is currently a student at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and has appeared in many productions such as "The Producers" at the West Virginia Public Theater.

"Where the Girls Are" plays through Aug. 13. This high-energy musical pays tribute to some of the most recognized female-sung songs of all times such as "RESPECT," "Sincerely" and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."

"Where the Girls Are" runs Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday through June 20. After that, it's performed on Tuesday and Thursday nights only.

Special summer prices are in effect; $25 for adults and $10 for children 16 and under. Performances are also at the special time of 7 p.m.

Call the Box Office at 472-6862 for tickets or visit www.TheSchoolhouseTheater.com for more information.

The Herb Strauss Schoolhouse Theater is located at 2200 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
