Fun-filled Magic Carpet event returns to Philharmonic Center
The fun-filled Magic Carpet Concerts, an enchanting Philharmonic Center tradition, continue May 30 with a small ensemble from the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra performing a 45-minute program. This week's program, "Rap on Percussion," allows the audience to groove to the rhythm of the percussion section, whose their unique instruments are made of wood, metal and skins. Programs start at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.
Tickets to the Magic Carpet Concert are $8. Everyone, including infants, must have a ticket. Festival of great organ music features area's finest players
Some of the finest organists in Southwest Florida will perform a wide range of music on the Philharmonic Center's 3,604-pipe Casavant organ on Sunday, June 7, at 3 p.m. at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts.
James Cochran, resident organist. This concert event features members of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Selections will include classic orchestral works from all periods of music history — and a duet or two.
