The Art Galleries and Alumni Association at Florida Gulf Coast University will present a premiere exhibition of works from art students titled "The Formers: Current Works of FGCU Art Graduates." Local art teacher selected to take part in prestigious show
Gateway Charter High School art teacher lauded for sculpture
Art teacher James Hixson didn't show up for work last week at Gateway Charter High School. Instead, Principal Joe Roles approved his time off to attend the May 16-17 Sculpture in the South Art Show held in Summerville, S.C. Only 35 artists in the nation were invited to the show and Hixson's sculptures attracted the attention of show organizers. Full Story
Exhibit runs all summer at Monroe Street Gallery
The Art League of Fort Myers will host an opening night reception for its "Summer Time" Fine Arts Show on Friday, June 5.
