State park announces temporary closure of Lovers Key boat ramp

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Lovers Key State Park will temporarily close the park's boat ramp beginning Wednesday, May 27. The anticipated reopening of the boat ramp is early July.

During the closure, various repairs and improvements will be made to the floating dock system that services the boat ramp. There will also be upgrades to the dock bumper system, sedimentation removal and repair from damage caused during an extreme low tide event.
