Pop Arts 2009: A Juried Exhibition at daas Gallery

The daas Gallery presents a new and exciting exhibition for the month of June. This time, artists from all over Florida have submitted Pop- Art-inspired pieces. The best creations will be on display at the opening reception on June 5. The exhibit opens in conjunction with the monthly downtown Fort Myers Art Walk.

Prominent art figures Lily and David Hatchett had the difficult task to jury the exhibition. Both artists have long successful careers in the art scenes of New York and Florida as well as internationally. Titles for best in show, second, third and honorable mentions have been given deserving Pop-Art masterpieces.

"This is a tribute to the Pop- Art movement and all of the masters of the time whose wonderful creations keep inspiring and educating. We are super excited to showcase these wonderful pieces at our gallery," said artist and curator David Acevedo.

The daas Gallery promises another night of beautiful art, great friends and hors d'oeuvres. The exhibition will be on display through June 26. For more information, visit www.daasgallery.com. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
