Fort Myers River District Bike Night season finale is May 16

The 2008-2009 season of Fort Myers River District Bike Nights wraps up Saturday, May 16. Musical entertainment will be provided by the band Matter of Faith, and approximately 40 street vendors and many downtown businesses will be open. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m.

Temporary road closings of some downtown streets will be announced just prior to the event. Parking for all vehicles will be available throughout the River District.

The event is presented by the law firm of Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz P.A., as well as sponsors White Line Magazine and Classic Rock 94.5. Fort Myers Bike Night is produced by the Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency and Events x D'zign. The Pete Renner Foundation Inc. will be the nonprofit charity to benefit from the evening's beer and water sales.

The River District is the historic commercial district and emerging residential community along the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers. Its geographic boundaries are East First Street (at Seaboard Avenue), the Caloosahatchee River, the Edison Ford Winter Estates and the McGregor Boulevard/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard corridor (ending at Evans Avenue).
