Somerset at the Plantation earns award

The Fort Myers Beautification Advisory Board recently presented Somerset at the Plantation, located on Treeline Avenue, with the city's Beautification Award.

The award is presented to individuals or businesses that go to great lengths to make their landscape aesthetically pleasing. It is designed to encourage others to make the City of Fort Myers a more beautiful place to live, work and play. The owner of the property receives a certificate of recognition along with a sign is placed in the landscape which notifies the public of the owner's efforts.

To nominate someone for the award, please contact the city's Parks Department at 321-7590 or send a nomination letter to P.O. Box 2217, Fort Myers, FL 33902. The board will review the site and determine if an award should be presented to the owner.
