LOFTON Johnson Engineering has named James "Vee" Lofton Jr., as director of its construction engineering & inspection team. Mr. Lofton joined Johnson Engineering in January 2008 as a transportation CEI project administrator and has more than 20 years of experience in roadway and bridge construction, project administration, and inspection in both traditional design-bid-build and design-build projects. His previous experience as a consultant program manager with the Florida Department of Transportation gives him a unique perspective of the bidding process, construction techniques utilized, as well as an understanding of the maintaining agency's needs after construction has been completed.
