Quail West development sold to local businessmen
New sales center to open in two months
QW 2009 LLC, a partnership of four local businessmen, have completed the purchase of Quail West Golf & Country Club and are making plans to continue development of the 1,180-acre Naples community.
"We are finishing our marketing plan and determining homesite prices, with the goal of delivering the best value in the area," said Dan Gerner, who is one of the partners in QW 2009 LLC along with John McGarvey, Alan Freeman and Bill Price.
"We closed on the property Tuesday, March 31, and plan to open a sales center in the next 60 days. We are committed to developing this wonderful community to its full potential, and we're happy to have the support of Quail West residents," said Mr. Freeman.
"The purchasers are highly respected in the development industry and bring a strong track record of integrity and quality development, "said John Gamba, a Quail West Foundation board member.
Mr. Gerner and Mr. Freeman live in the community, and McGarvey Custom Homes has built more than 15 percent of the more than 200 completed custom homes in the community.
Quail West is located east of I-75 between Bonita Beach Road and Immokalee Road. The gated community has 262 undeveloped estate-sized homesites, 36 holes of championship golf designed by Arthur Hills, eight clay tennis courts and a recently renovated 70,000-square-foot clubhouse that includes dining facilities, a fitness center, card rooms and lagoonstyle pool. Known for its opulent country club lifestyle, Quail West captures the warmth and charm of Olde Florida's rich architectural heritage.
