Contractor finishes Habitat home in five days

Punta Gorda-based MK Construction participated along with eight general contractors in the Builders Blitz 2009 organized by Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity. MK Construction finished a 1,500-squarefoot home in just five days. The home consisted of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, great room and a one-car attached garage. MK-Construction along with its subcontractors, regardless of the economic drop in the construction industry, provided their time, energy and expertise to build the home. This is the second year MK Construction participated in the event.
