Cape Coral's Sun Splash opens for season March 21

Splash into spring at Sun Splash Family Waterpark when the Cape Coral attraction opens its gates for the 2009 season on Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m.

More adventurous visitors will enjoy three heart-pounding new speed slides, the Thunder Bump, Terror Tube and X-celerator.

After the park reopens for the season, Sun Splash will be open Friday-Sunday until April 5. It will be open every day the week of Spring Break for Lee County Public Schools, April 6-14, then Sun Splash will be open four days a week (Thursday-Sunday) until schools dismiss for summer break in June. The 2009 season has been extended through mid-October. Early Bird season passes are still available through April 12 with prices ranging from $29 to $59 for Cape Coral residents and $39- $79 for non-residents, a savings of 30 to 40 percent off last year's season pass prices. After April 12, season pass prices will go up to $39-$79 for Cape Coral residents and $49- $99 for non-residents; however, the regular season prices will still be 10 to 20 percent less than they were in 2008. Each season pass household will also receive a free coupon book with more than $150 in savings at Sun Splash.
