McLAUGHLIN Carol McLaughlin has joined the staff of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Inc. as the special projects coordinator. Ms. McLaughlin brings 17 years of experience in education to The Foundation. She taught math and science to students with learning disabilities and later took a role in administration. She left the schools in 1992 to serve as the administrative director with the Alliance of the Arts. Most recently, Ms. McLaughlin retired as the chief program officer at the Southwest Florida Community Foundation.
Gov. Charlie Crist recently appointed
Donice Dawson, vice president of American Momentum Bank, as one of three governorappointed board members of the Early Learning Coalition
of Southwest Florida. The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida is governed by a 20-member volunteer board of community leaders and employees of private businesses. Charged with management and oversight of the School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten programs in Collier, Hendry, Glades and Lee counties, the Early Learning Coalition serves 10,000 children annually.
