Derby Casino Night benefits Canterbury students

Canterbury School's Derby Casino Night will be held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa on Saturday, April 4. Tickets are $150 per person. Sponsorships are available.

Come out for an evening of fun with proceeds from the event benefiting Canterbury's student financial aid program. (About 20 percent of Canterbury students receive financial aid.) Become a sponsor and attend the Patron's Party — a gala where you can get the first glimpse of the auction catalog and its exciting offerings.

Here are a few of the items that will be auctioned on the night of the Derby Casino:

• Fly to New York City for a Mets game - includes air fare, a two-night stay and an introduction to pitcher Johan Santana.

• Any Gator fans out there? Be the lucky bidder on this University of Florida sports package.

• The Celebrity Experience could be yours when you bid on a trip to the 2010 Rose Bowl

• Enjoy a week in a Breckenridge ski hideaway.

• You and up to nine friends could luxuriate in a Big Sky, Mont., executive home (4,500 square feet) for a week if you are the highest bidder for this fabulous prize.

• Six children get a first-hand glimpse of how the evening news is produced as they watch onset. WBBH NBC-2 anchor Kellie Burns will give a tour of the studio after the live newscast.

• Bid on Lodestone - a stunning acrylic sculpture by artist Michael Wilkinson.

• A child's summer experience of a lifetime - Camp Aqua Trek.
