DJ Quest fights HIV/AIDS with fund-raiser birthday bash
DJ Quest of 105.5 THE BEAT will host his sixth annual birthday bash: "Celebrating for a Cause" on Friday, March 6. Proceeds will benefit The Bob Rauschenberg Center for Living. Cypress Lake student wins scholarship for print ad
Cypress Lake High School senior media arts major Dylan Jones won first place in a Florida regional print ad competition, and then went on to win the grand prize for the state with her take on the Florida KidCare health insurance promotion. Ms. Jones won a $5,000 college scholarship and earned $3,000 for the Media Arts Department. Full Story

USPS mailing services prices change May 11
The governors of the U.S. Postal Service have approved new prices for mailing services, including a 2-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail stamp to 44 cents. The new prices will go into effect Monday, May 11. Rising costs make the price adjustments necessary Full Story
Historian lectures at Beth Tikvah
Historian Gerald Ziedenberg will continue with the second and third lectures in his three-part series at Beth Tikvah of Naples. Mr. Ziedenberg, who retired after a successful career in retail pharmacy, later studied at the University of Toronto, becoming a specialist in Modern European and American History. Full Story
