Sharpen job skills with Career Transition Series

Shane Shane With unemployment topping 10 percent, what can you do to give yourself a competitive edge in the workplace, to make yourself as valuable as possible to your current or prospective employer? Sharpen your vital skills through the Career Transition Series offered by Deborah Shane of Train with Shane, presented in association with Lee County Business and Industry Services.

The series focuses on personal, professional, computer and social media skills in four modules of three hours each held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Business and Industry Services office at 2855 Colonial Blvd. Each module is $45, or save money by registering for all four at $135.

The Personal Skills Module will be held on Feb. 20, and will cover the mindset and attitude of winners, discovering your internal job description, polishing your professional image and crafting a dynamic cover letter and résumé designed to get attention.
