FGCU helps launch green business

Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center recently assisted in the launching of Sustainable Civil, LLC, a full-service green consulting firm located in Naples. The Small Business Development Center provides free, confidential, one-on-one business counseling for start-up and existing business owners in Southwest Florida.

Suzanne Specht, SBDC assistant director, met with Sustainable Civil, LLC to guide the start-up business and to create the first small-business green seminar.

Founding principal of Sustainable Civil, LLC Heidi von Korff will be one of the premier speakers for the SBDC's first seminar, "Making Your Small Business Green — Benefits and Checklists," Friday, Feb. 27, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the FGCU Lutgert College of Business. The seminar is free and includes lunch and networking.
