Janes

The National Association of Counties presented Lee County Commissioner Bob Janes its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of more than 30 years of leadership, vision and distinguished service to the cause of good governance in America. Commissioner Janes has served as chair (four terms) and vice chair (one term) of NACo's Health Steering Committee. The health steering committee is responsible for developing NACo policy regarding federal legislation and policy pertaining to health care delivery and financing including indigent care, health care for the uninsured, Medicaid, Medicare, long term care, local public health programs, mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities.
