Martin William "Bill" Martin has joined the staff of Edison National Bank as vice president commercial lending. Mr. Martin has 20 years of local lending and banking experience. He is responsible for commercial lending and developing customer banking relationships. Mr. Martin has served as president, treasurer and director of the Rotary Club of Cape Coral Gold Coast.
George H. Austin, founding member of the board of directors for Southwest Capital Bank will be inducted into The Florida Citrus Hall of Fame at a luncheon on March 6. Mr. Austin, a second-generation resident of Lee County, spent his entire career in the citrus industry. He is a retired citrus grower and former president of George H. Austin Inc., in Alva, a citrus procurement and hauling business. He has been a proponent of the Florida citrus industry for more than 50 years and helped pioneer formation of the Gulf Citrus Growers Association in Southwest Florida, serving as its president for three terms.
