The Fort Myers Broadcasting building The Fort Myers Broadcasting building . The Beck Group has awarded Sunshine Structures a design-build contract to provide the structural design and shell construction for its new office building in Tampa.

Sunshine will provide all cast-in-place concrete, steel-reinforced tilt-walls and structural steel systems for this threestory, 32,000-square-foot building. This project will feature innovative architectural finishes utilizing site cast tilt-up concrete walls. Sunshine Structures and its engineering partner, LJB Inc., worked with The Beck Group in the design of this CON/STEEL Tilt Systems building.

Nick Demint is the project executive for Sunshine Structures and Brad Harger is the general superintendent. Joe Harrington took the lead in architectural design for Beck and David Crosbie is Beck's project manager. Construction is scheduled to start in March.

. Owen-Ames-Kimball Company has completed renovations of the Fort Myers Broadcasting building, located on Palm Beach Boulevard and home to WINK-TV, 6-TV and seven radio stations.

The look of this 1940s-era building was transformed with a complete renovation of the front façade of the building and addition onto the main entrance. Renovation of the facility included a two-story height addition and extension of the building entrance, new aluminum curtainwall entry, aluminum sunshade devices, new window openings, keystone-tiled entrance platform and ADA ramps, aluminum and stainless steel cable railings, metal wall panels, new building signs, landscaping, pavers, electric gates and fencing, precast concrete pavers, and asphalt paving.

The O-A-K team for this project was Tim Harkins, job site superintendent; Ken Gentry, project manager; and Patrick Conran, vice president of operations and general superintendent. The architectural design was done by Cristina Meyer, AIA of Gora McGahey Associates in Architecture.
