Irish Festival showcases the best Irish music

Gather your clan and join the fun at the Cape Coral Irish American Club's fifth annual Irish Festival in the Bavarian Gardens on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.

The event is Saturday, March 7, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. — when the festival opens with an outdoor Roman Catholic Mass.

Dance a jig, trace your Irish roots, eat your fill of corned beef and cabbage or choose from a variety of fresh food and beverages. Stroll through the vendor tents with imported Irish goods. Entertain your children with affordable carnival rides and free adult-supervised craft projects.

No need for lawn chairs with plenty of shady seating. Free parking with designated areas for special needs. The festival will take place in the Bavarian Gardens, also known as the German American Social Club, at 2101 West Pine Island Road west of Chiquita Blvd. Adults, $5; children under 12 free. College students $3 with identification.
