Magnolia Landing sold to Michigan developer

Michigan-based Windham has more than 42 years of real estate development experience. Windham specializes in land acquisition and development, brokerage, consulting and project

management and has developed more than $1 billion in single-family, multi-family and commercial real estate throughout the United States.

Herbert Lawson, owner of Windham, has garnered many awards including Developer of the Year and Development of the Year for Stonewater in Northville Township, Michigan. He recently received the 2008 Distinguished Service Award from the Building Industry Association.

"We are extremely excited about our acquisition of Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club," said Mr. Lawson.

As an incentive this season, Windham Magnolia Landing LLC will waive all non-refundable initiation fees through April 30, for both residents and non-residents. Membership includes golf on the 18-hole championship Gordon Lewis-designed course and all the amenities of country club living. The 10,000-square-foot country club includes a pro shop and the Grille at Magnolia Landing. Upcoming plans for the North Fort Myers golf course community include the opening of the 5,000-square-foot Fitness Center later this month and the completion of the pool this spring. Future plans call for construction of community tennis courts and a Neighborhood Park.
